A New Church Home

Thanks to laying out our outfits the night before, we actually woke up and made it to church on time today! We've visited Mansfield First Baptist Church a couple of times before, and during today's service the preacher mentioned that membership classes are coming up next week. As a result, Robby and I really started talking about whether or not we wanted to join/look at the church more closely.

Of course, we know that we like it enough to repeatedly visit it, but we hadn't really talked about if it is a good fit for our family's church needs. When we lived in Aubrey, we really, really loved Denton Bible Church, and were in the middle of the membership classes when we decided to move. Since then, we've been looking for a church that we liked as much, and so far, this is the only one that we've really liked enough to visit more than once. I think that says a lot.

After the service today, at lunch, Robby and I discussed it more thorougly and felt like it was God's plan to lead us to this church. Everyone is really friendly, there are several ministries and the children's area is excellent (Abigail is in the "Turtles" Sunday School group and loves it!), and our next door neighbor sometimes helps out in her class. It's nice to know who she is spending time with. We feel like it has the family/community that we've been looking for, and we agree with the doctrine of the Church whole heartedly (most important).

Because of all these things, as of next week we will be taking the membership classes! We're very excited!
