Now that TAKS is over, and since it's the start of a new six weeks grading period, I actually got to come home shortly after the time we're allowed to leave! Today was maybe the third time I actually left before 5, when we're allowed to leave at 4:30. I always have students in tutoring or am working on grading.
I got home remarkably fast (less traffic!), so Robby and I decided to take Abigail and Chance to the park near our house. When we got there, we were amazed to see how many people were there! It was so packed, that there was only one parking space left in the WHOLE parking lot after we found a spot! Do this many people really go out for family time on a weekday? It was really odd to me, but I guess I've been so busy at work that I have been missing out on this fun opportunity. I enjoyed the day so much that I plan to leave before 5 every day, especially when Daylight Savings starts and it will stay lighter outside much longer! I love spring!
