Today was Charli's first birthday and party. It was held at the Wiggles Play Center in Frisco, just two miles or so from where Abigail was born. The girls are only seven weeks apart from one another in age, so Shara and I are hoping that the girls will grow up to be close cousins and friends. We tried like heck to get the girls to play together, but at this age, they're more interested in independent play. The best we could do was to get them to sit next to one another for a brief few seconds. It was fun because as soon as we'd get them situated, one girl would take off. As soon as we'd put her back, the other would escape! Oh the joy of toddlers and cameras!
The party was fun - it had a huge play center for the kids (and parents) to play on, as well as an enclosed toddler area for the little ones. Abigail had a blast, and she really liked the slides. It was fun to see her try and maneuver her way around all of the obstacles. Good thing Luke was there to help navigate! Luke is 3 and one of Abigail's oldest friends.
